Obviously change happens. Gripper Fingers wear, Cannulas (notoriously) can be bent, and unless you happen to have a magic wand, straightening either Gripper Fingers or Cannulas is usually thankless and fruitless. Syringe seals wear, slowly but inexorably. Antistatic devices lose effectiveness with time. If you can keep spare parts on hand, please do, it is a practice which reduces red faces and angst.
