Press Release 02.20.23
Buffalo Grove, IL and CARY, NC —Feb 20th., 2023 —Sirius Automation Group Inc., developer of robust, tailored laboratory robotics systems for all high value chemistry requirements and Virscidian, developer of solutions to automate LC/MS (liquid chromatography and mass spectrometry) decision-driven workflows, today announced a collaboration and co-marketing agreement through which the companies will support fully automated analytical workflows for discovery chemistry and related downstream needs.
Virscidian’s scientific analytical desktop and enterprise software helps customers, independently of the vendor instrumentation to automate reaction screening, end-to-end purification, compound quality control, and other high throughput analytical techniques. Their solutions turn raw data into actionable intelligence that improves productivity and the quality of results, enabling chemists and project teams to make complex decisions from large amounts of data with confidence in the results. Their solutions are easily integrated and provide the critical decisions to drive some of the most sophisticated automation platforms in the world.
Sirius Automation carries a reputation for providing a gold standard of reliable, swift and trouble-free laboratory robotic systems providing labeled, tared labware, recording barcodes, weighing yields, efficient fraction pooling, reconstitution to concentration with vortexing and sonication mixing options, screw capping/recapping of vials and transfers to microplates or minitubes, with accurate solids dispensing and branching methods based upon results and calculations.
By working together, Sirius Automation and Virscidian empower their customers to easily transfer data between these software platforms so that full complete workflows can be confidently ‘walkaway’ automated.
“At Virscidian, we aim to provide actionable intelligence that streamlines compound synthesis, purification, and screening, enabling scientists to spend their time on the highest-value tasks without compromising laboratory productivity,” said Joseph Simpkins, CEO at Virscidian. “Thanks to our collaboration with the Sirius team, our customers now have a fully integrated environment with the Sirius automation platform and our analysis-based intelligence.”
“We have long understood that a properly effective software solution is essential to the efficient integration of Discovery Chemistry processes’” says Tony Cox, Director of Technical Sales at Sirius Automation , “We have made occasional efforts to address this requirement ourselves, but ever since we were introduced to the solutions offered by Virscidian we knew that they had exactly what our clients were seeking and at a reasonable investment level. We are very pleased indeed to be walking in lockstep with Virscidian as our partners moving forwards”.
Virscidian is a privately owned company composed of experts in identifying, designing, and implementing decision-driven solutions to enhance productivity in biopharmaceutical and agricultural value chains. Virscidian’s scientific analytical desktop and enterprise software helps customers, independently of the vendor instrumentation, automate reaction screening, end-to-end purification, affinity selection by mass spectrometry, compound quality control, drug metabolism and pharmacokinetics and other high-throughput analytical techniques. Their solutions transform raw data into actionable intelligence that improves productivity and the quality of results, enabling chemists and project teams to make complex decisions from large amounts of data with confidence in the results. At Sirius, we believe in the strength of Laboratory Workstation Automation. In a marketplace that increasingly attempts to force the Chemist into a ‘one size fits all’ approach to automation, we know the truth. Not only does one size not even fit most, – there is some element of adaptation or customization to every project, no matter how routine or widespread, for it to provide greatest value to the user. A business’ core strength lies in its human resources; – our accumulated wealth of knowledge and our strength in this business are solely the result of our dedication to successful Laboratory Automation, and our combined desire and ability to deliver on that single promise.
